In efforts to further extend and establish intersections on the pathways leading from our communities to the doorsteps and classrooms of our schools, the Office of Equity, School Support, and Community Engagement, Educating Boys of Color has teamed up with several community partners to provide a series of classes via Zoom. This collaboration seeks to advance and affirm the social-emotional and real-world growth and development of young boys of color through the lens of positive and successful men of color. These community leaders have ongoing efforts to help support closing the achievement, opportunity, and participation gaps by providing both human and fiscal resources to this group of historically marginalized students. The facilitators are not acting as certified educators but are serving as life coaches and mentors.
